An Ultimate Approach to Internal Peace

Ms Cheung has also received advanced training in Naikan Therapy in Japan . She trains professionals and paraprofessionals in this uniquely effective modality. This includes trainings and workshops in which clinicians actually experience components of Naikan therapy as a part of the trainings.

What is Naikan Therapy?

Naikan means to look within oneself. Naikan promotes self awareness and acceptance of others without becoming judgmental. This method was developed by Mr. Ishin Yoshimoto, for personal growth in the 1950's.

Naikan therapy is a short-term structured treatment. It is conducted with a thorough chronological review of oneself from the past to the present in relation to a parental figure or significant other. Typically, adults and youngsters resolve their psychological and personal issues in a short period of time, but with a long-lasting effect.

Currently, this approach is being adopted as a treatment intervention throughout Japan, Germany and Austria. This treatment approach is effective in gaining internal peace and for the treatment of chemical dependency and law violation issues.

Naikan Therapy
works for the resolution of:

  • Marital and family conflicts
  • Interpersonal relationship issues
  • Depression, anxiety
  • Self-esteem issues
  • Behavioral disorders
  • Addictive behaviors
